I am a self-taught artist from Finland. I rediscovered my passion for painting when I lost my permanent job. Since then, my days have been filled with paint. Working with my hands has always been an important part of my life.
The most fun is building up several layers of paint, where the colors create depth and structure in the painting. I enjoy trying new techniques and tools.
I paint with acrylic and oil paints on canvas, paper or wood. The subjects of my paintings can be found in nature and the emotions that speak to me at the time. The best thing is when I can close off the world around me and let my feelings turn into colors and textures. For me, art is a way to express and challenge myself.
I don’t like exactly reproduced images. I want my paintings to have emotion, mysticism and the observation of details. Sometimes a descriptive expression emerges from a structural and abstract base. In my works, the viewer’s perspective is strongly emphasized. You may find strange characters in my paintings, they just appear there.
